Greenford Quay’s monthly summer market hits the spot!

From hand-stretched sourdough pizza and authentic Thai dishes, to craft beer and miniature sweet treats – our monthly Street Food Saturdays offered a mouth-watering selection of food and drink to satisfy any appetite.

Curated by Ealing’s leading market organisers Trash & Treasure, our locally-based street food vendors attracted people of all ages to sunny Greenford Quay London rental apartments. The open-air event, which was part of our summer series, was a chance to sample tastes from around the world, meet friends and enjoy the entertainment on offer.

But this was more than just a street food market. Our traders dished up tricks of the trade with interactive demonstrations and top tips – so visitors could go away and recreate their favourite dishes at home. Hamilton Desserts revealed the secret to making the perfect crème brûlée, while Sarv’s Slice gave customers the chance to make their own delicious pizza, before tasting the result.

Learn how to make the best espresso martini

For those after more of a liquid lunch, London Craft rolled up in their fully licensed 1992 classic Rover Mini Cooper, serving the very best independent craft beers, London spirits and locally-produced wines. They also shared their much-loved espresso martini recipe with coffee cocktail lovers at the event.

The food market, held at Tillerman’s Square on the first Saturday of the month throughout the summer, brought together residents from West London’s canalside rental apartments and the wider community. With feel-good tunes playing all day and a host of family-friendly activities on offer – including giant Jenga, face painting, Connect Four, noughts & crosses and ring toss – there was plenty of entertainment on tap.

Brother and sister team Sarv and Disha from Sarv’s pizza said the events’ real sense of community made them unique. Disha said: “Family is really important to us because we’re a family run business. Sarv’s my little brother and we decided to set this up a couple of years ago, so being able to trade in a community which is so focused on family, bringing people together to enjoy a great time and eat great food, is just what we love about being here.”

Sarv added: “We love trading at Greenford Quay because we feel there’s a really nice family atmosphere here.
