At Greenford Quay, home is about more than just where you live — it’s about being part of a community that cares. Whether it’s neighbours coming together or residents supporting a meaningful cause, our community spirit is what makes life here truly special.
A shining example of this was our Greenford Quay Summer Charity Challenge — a community-led charity walk along the Grand Union Canal in support of Help for Heroes. Organised by our wonderful Assistant Manager, Peter Smith, the inspiring walk brought together residents and team members alike in a meaningful show of solidarity and support.
“I wanted to raise funds for this important cause,” Peter shared. “Having friends and family in the forces, it felt personal. As a Greystar community, supporting causes close to our hearts is at the centre of what we do. It was heart-warming to walk alongside such a committed and generous team.”
The walk spanned from Paddington to Greenford, taking in iconic sights like Little Venice and Acton, with team members and even a few four-legged friends — including Monrow, our beloved community mascot — joining the journey. While Monrow started off with boundless energy, he definitely earned his post-walk nap!
The day ended with a well-deserved celebratory picnic and the pride of knowing the community had raised over £1,000 for the local Help for Heroes branch.
At Greenford Quay, we believe in giving back and growing together. Whether you’re walking the canal, picnicking in the park, or taking part in community events like this one, life here is all about connection, purpose, and a strong sense of belonging.
