Greenford Quay kicked off its annual summer series with a weekend of street food, music and dancing
Now the sun firmly has its hat on, Greenford Quay launched its summer of entertainment with the first events of the season. To open proceedings, more than 300 people rocked up for the Eats & Beats evening street market, with DJ Dom Booth and the legendary saxophonist Chaddy Sax providing the soundtrack to get the party going. International house DJ and London Select Radio primetime host DJ Sassy B topped the bill as the sun went down.
Mouth-watering street food
There was plenty of tasty street food and delectable drinks on the menu too, from a host vendors, including; churros from Cinnamon and Sugar, Rainbo’s gyoza and bao buns, a taste of the Caribbean from Mr Roy and Andhra Ruchulu’s South Indian bites.
And the good food just kept on coming at the West London community’s first Street Food Saturday. Residents had the chance to sample bubble tea and waffles from 9000bc, delicious Baraka Falafel, pad thai from Bangkok Box and beer and cocktails from LDN Craft’s mobile bar.
Around 450 people came along to Greenford Quay for an afternoon of family-friendly entertainment, featuring energetic performances from the incredible Bhangra Dance London group and Europe’s finest R&B jazz artist Dom Pipkin. Younger audiences had plenty to smile about too, with jaw dropping stunts from the world-famous circus performer Richard Filby and bubbles galore courtesy of Mr Magic Bubbles.
